I’ve been selected to play Nick’s wife, Brooke, in the student project The Last Out.
This is just a school assignment and is not intended for release, so I won’t get to share it with the world when it’s all put together, but I’m happy to contribute to some smaller roles like this and just get some experience playing different kinds of characters.
It turns out the audition lines I sent in contain the majority of this character’s participation in the show! I’m a very minor character who has one scene when the protagonist, Nick, comes home after a baseball failure and has been inconsiderate to his wife–ignored dinnertime, didn’t bring home milk like he was supposed to, keeps avoiding a home repair that they can’t afford to farm out–and she’s just really tired of his crap.
Everybody needs a nagging wife sometimes, I guess!
