About the story: A modern audio drama reinvention of the original Frankenstein.
Creator’s Character Description: Lizzy is “a woman building peace out of someone else’s chaos.” She begins as bright, steady, believing love can balance Victor’s darkness. She then begins sensing what he’s hiding and realizes tenderness doesn’t mean safety. Love turns from comfort to anchor—something that pulls her under with him.
What do I like best about playing this character: I have unfortunately had some people in my past who I was determined to save from themselves, and this lets me draw on that desperation to be a light for someone who doesn’t have one. The director’s style is to give full actor info for characters, so I get a lot of insight into who she is and how I’m supposed to be presenting her, which is really helpful.
What do I like least about playing this character: Begging a dude to stop ruining his own life is something I know too well, so even though it helps inform my read of the character, I don’t love going back to that mindset.
