A new role has come my way! Today I got cast as Samantha, a quantum A.I. in an audio drama called Artificial Intelligence. The director says it will debut as an episode of his existing podcast, The Egotistical Podcast, but will later get released on Audible.
I auditioned to be Samantha on March 11. She was an A.I., so I used my android accent (so to speak), and the notes didn’t say I should do otherwise. But the director messaged me and said my voice was what he wanted but he’d like a less robotic take on the character. So I gave it a whack, submitting my second take later the same day. I got selected about a week later. It wasn’t a hugely competitive audition but it looks like about 10 people went out for it, so that’s pretty cool!
Only my second time getting to play a character who murders people! Looking forward to taking this on.
